Thrakischer Kulturverein Stuttgart

Thrakischer Kulturverein Stuttgart is a Thracian Greek cultural association founded in 1979 in Stuttgart, Germany. Established by Greeks of Thracian heritage who wished to preserve the traditions of their homeland, the association is dedicated to maintaining and promoting Thracian culture, customs and historical identity across generations. It is also a member of the Federation of Thracian Associations in Europe.

Traditional Thracian dance is central to the association's cultural activities. Its dance groups participate in performances and cultural events, presenting traditional dances and costumes associated with the Thrace region. The association also maintains a children's dance group, providing younger generations with opportunities to experience and learn the traditions of their cultural heritage.

Beyond dance and cultural performances, the association organises and participates in social, educational, recreational and historical activities. Its work includes representing the shared interests of Thracians, maintaining connections with Greece and particularly Thrace, and encouraging cooperation with other cultural organisations. Supporting mutual assistance and solidarity among members is another important part of its mission.

The association also promotes cultural exchange and positive relations with German society, encouraging understanding and cooperation across different backgrounds. Its charitable and social activities include supporting people facing difficulties and assisting returning Greek emigrants with reintegration into life in Greece.

With a history spanning more than four decades, Thrakischer Kulturverein Stuttgart continues to provide a meeting point for people connected to Thracian heritage, bringing together traditional dance, cultural participation and mutual support in the Stuttgart region.
