Diaspora Events

Diaspora Events is a Greek cultural events organisation based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, dedicated to sharing the traditions, heritage and contemporary spirit of Greece with international audiences. With an ambition to develop activities beyond the Netherlands, the organisation uses Amsterdam as its starting point for bringing people together through experiences inspired by Greek culture.

Its concept encompasses a variety of cultural activities, including traditional Greek dance workshops, Greek cooking classes and cultural festivals. These experiences are designed to introduce participants to different aspects of Greek life, from music and dance to food, customs and shared traditions. By encouraging active participation, Diaspora Events aims to make Greek cultural heritage accessible to people from different backgrounds, including members of the Greek diaspora and those interested in discovering Greece.

Cultural exchange and human connection are central to the organisation's philosophy. Diaspora Events seeks to create opportunities for people to explore Greek traditions together, experience the social character of Greek celebrations and develop a deeper appreciation of the country's cultural identity.

Beginning in Amsterdam, Diaspora Events has a broader vision of expanding its cultural activities internationally. Through its focus on Greek heritage, participatory experiences and cultural events, the organisation aims to connect audiences across borders and share the diversity of Greek culture beyond Greece.
