The New York Greek Film Expo 2026 takes place from October 8 to 18 across New York City, Astoria and Fort Lee, presenting a multi-day program of contemporary Greek cinema, special screenings, filmmaker appearances, audience Q&As and a Michael Cacoyannis retrospective.
The Expo opens on October 8 at DGA New York Theater and continues at Village East Cinema, Barrymore Film Center, Melrose Ballroom and the Museum of the Moving Image. The 2026 program includes 12 films from Greece, with many screenings presented in Greek with English subtitles, along with special guests and discussions.

The festival opens on Thursday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m. at DGA New York Theater, 110 West 57th Street, New York, NY 10019, with the Opening Night screening of Hold Onto Me.

Friday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. – Broken Vein.
Saturday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. – Life in a Beat; 8:30 p.m. – Patty Is Such a Girly Name.
Sunday, October 11 at 1:30 p.m. – Rooster; 4:00 p.m. – Last Call; 6:30 p.m. – Receptions.
On Tuesday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m., Hold Onto Me screens at Barrymore Film Center, 1 Park Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.
On Wednesday, October 14 at 7:00 p.m., Cavo Paradiso Mykonos: 30 Years of History is presented as a special event screening and after-party at Melrose Ballroom, 36-08 33rd Street, Astoria, NY 11106.
The Expo concludes with a Michael Cacoyannis retrospective at the Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Avenue, Astoria, NY 11106:
Friday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. – A Girl in Black.
Saturday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m. – Zorba the Greek.
Sunday, October 18 at 3:00 p.m. – Stella; 6:00 p.m. – Windfall in Athens.
