Salonika

Salonika is a Greek restaurant in Bogotá, Colombia, founded in 2017 by Giorgios Sitaras and Paola Novoa. Combining Greek culinary heritage with Colombian hospitality, the restaurant was created to introduce traditional Greek flavours and dining culture to the Colombian capital. Its first location opened in September 2017 in the Parkway neighbourhood, establishing a welcoming setting inspired by the food, colours and traditions of Greece.

The restaurant's story began when Paola discovered Giorgios's Greek restaurant, Grecia, Café y Souvlaki, during a visit to Cartagena in 2014. Their shared interest in Greek cuisine eventually developed into a business partnership, bringing Giorgios's previous restaurant experience to Bogotá. Following the opening in Parkway, Salonika expanded with another location in Cedritos in 2020.

Salonika's menu centres on Greek street food and traditional specialities, including gyros, souvlaki, Greek salads and tzatziki. The selection also includes vegetarian options, offering different ways to enjoy familiar Mediterranean flavours. Its food concept reflects the traditions of Greek casual dining, with grilled meats, pita bread, fresh vegetables and classic accompaniments forming part of the experience.

With its Greek-inspired branding, Mediterranean food and casual restaurant atmosphere, Salonika brings together the culinary traditions of Greece and the social character of Colombian dining. The restaurant provides a setting for enjoying Greek food in Bogotá, whether stopping by for a quick meal or sharing dishes with friends and family.
