"Rebetiko" is derived from "rebetis" or rebellious. The Rebetis were men of the urban underclass living on the margins of legality passing the free time in taverns "Teke" and brothels, drinking alcohol and smoking opium.
Rebetiko draws its essence from the conviviality of the old taverns, where the traditional food served as union
between different life experiences. From Rebetiko you find Greek cuisine made of dishes that bring a dreamlike dimension, prepared by Georgios and his staff.

Georgeos was born in a small town of Thessaly near the Meteors, arrived in Italy in 1978 and graduated in geology at the University of Milan. For over twenty-five years he worked in a historic Greek taverna. With the opening of "Rebetiko" he has finally realized his dream.
