For over one hundred years, the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal has played an important role in preserving the Greek language, culture and faith of Montrealers of Hellenic heritage. As proud descendants of a great culture and people, we value the opportunity to preserve our Hellenic identity and are determined to pass on an even stronger community to the generations that follows us. Today and with the strength of over 70,000 voices, we are equally proud of our community’s role in continuing to build a better Montreal, a better Quebec and a better Canada.
Leading our achievements is our Ecole Socrates and its five campuses - an institution providing education to 1300 children in three languages on a full time basis. Together with our churches, parades, festivals and services for those less fortunate, our members and volunteers have come to preserve the legacy of our forefathers and are helping pave the way to a brighter future for our children.
