Harmonia

Harmonia Mental Health Care is a psychology and mental health practice based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, founded by Greek psychologist Fani Traikou (Φανή Τράικου). Since 2015, she has provided sessions both at her office in Rotterdam and online, working primarily with Greek immigrants living in the Netherlands, as well as Greek expatriates and individuals residing in Greece or other countries. Sessions are available in Greek and English, including online appointments through platforms such as Skype and Google Meet. Having lived in Greece, the Netherlands and Canada, Fani Traikou brings her own experience of living across different cultures to her professional perspective. Fani Traikou holds a degree in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a master's degree in Health Psychology and Social Psychology from Maastricht University. Her academic background also includes master's degrees in Special Education and Theatre Studies, with a focus on Acting and Directing, from the Open University of Cyprus. Her professional profile lists membership in the Association of Greek Psychologists (SEPS), the Dutch Institute of Psychologists (NIP) and the Hellenic Association of Narrative Therapy and Community Work. Her principal therapeutic approaches are Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness, which she uses individually or in combination according to the agreed approach with each person. She completed training in Narrative Psychotherapy and Community Work in 2019 and subsequently obtained certification from the Dulwich Centre in Australia. Her additional education includes mindfulness awareness training, a professional certificate in the therapeutic use of mindfulness from the Irish Mindfulness Academy, seminars in Systemic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and training in Cinematherapy through the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
