Christos Mediterranean Grille

Christos Melacrinos, a Greek immigrant began his culinary career as a merchant marine cook for the Aristotle Onassis fleet. Arriving in America, he worked as a server in many of Pittsburgh’s fine dining establishments. In 1996, the opportunity finally came to establish Christos Mediterranean Grille, where he was able to achieve “The American Dream” by acquiring his own business.

Currently, the business continues to be a family affair with 3 generations working to provide traditional Greek hospitality to customers. Located in Pittsburgh's Cultural District, this eating establishment have been a dining spot to many performing arts enthusiasts, traveling performers, local musicians and visiting athletes.

For 25 years, Christos has connected with Pittsburghers by hosting and creating memorable family events from weddings, graduations, birthdays, and more. Our restaurant has also promoted the traditional Greek recipes from our ancestry, Ikaria, Greece a Blue Zone designation. These healthy recipes, promoting the Mediterranean diet have been featured in local newspaper and publications over the years.
