Dr. Athena Kaporis

Dr. Athena Kaporis, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Mount Kisco, New York, with experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.

Her clinical work includes the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions, cosmetic dermatology procedures, and laser surgery. Treatment planning is based on the individual needs of each patient and the relevant clinical findings.

Dr. Kaporis graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College and earned her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. She completed her internship at NYU and her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she also contributed to research in immunology and dermatologic pathology.

She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and Women’s Dermatologic Society. She was named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in Dermatology in 2018 and 2019 and is fluent in Greek and Spanish.
