Estia Greek Festival returns to Hobart as a two-day celebration of Greek culture, heritage and community life, welcoming the wider Tasmanian public into one of the state’s established Hellenic cultural gatherings. Presented by the Greek Community of Tasmania, the festival creates a shared space for visitors to experience Greek traditions, food and social life while strengthening awareness of Tasmania’s Greek-Australian heritage. The event also reflects Estia’s broader purpose of encouraging cultural exchange, diversity and connection between the local Hellenic community and the wider public. With its family-friendly setting and strong food-and-culture focus, the festival offers an accessible introduction to the continuing place of Greek culture within Tasmania’s multicultural identity.
