The Greek Community of Melbourne together with Creative Drama & Arts proudly presents Aristophanes’ “Lysistrata”, one of the most iconic comedies of ancient Greek theatre, brought to life in a bold, energetic, and contemporary stage production.
In Lysistrata, the women of Athens and Sparta, exhausted by endless war, unite in an unexpected act of resistance to force peace. Filled with satire, humor, intelligence, and timeless social commentary, this production transforms Aristophanes’ masterpiece into a powerful modern theatrical experience.
Presented in Greek with live English captioning, the performance welcomes both Greek-speaking and international audiences.
