OPA! Big Fat Greek Show – Wollongong

OPA! Big Fat Greek Show brings comedy, music and Greek-Australian humour together in a touring variety production led by George Kapiniaris and Tony Nikolakopoulos. Kapiniaris, known for Acropolis Now, and Nikolakopoulos, familiar from The Wog Boy, are joined by singer and entertainer Maria Maroulis and bouzouki performer Pantelis Krestas. The show moves between stand-up comedy, character-driven humour, live music and audience-focused entertainment, creating the feel of a lively Greek night out rather than a conventional theatre performance. Its material draws strongly on Greek-Australian family life, cultural identity and shared humour, while the musical element adds contemporary and traditional Greek flavour to the evening.
