Pontian Youth Association USA-Canada

Pontian Youth Association USA-Canada is a cultural and community organization connected to the wider mission of preserving, promoting, and passing down the legacy of Pontian Hellenism across North America. Based in Toronto, the association supports the continuation of Pontian Greek identity through cultural education, historical awareness, community engagement, and intergenerational connection.

Its work is rooted in the preservation of Pontian heritage, including language, music, dance, history, traditions, values, and faith. Through collaboration with Pontian and Greek diaspora organizations, the association helps strengthen cultural pride among younger generations while encouraging active participation in the broader Hellenic community.

A central part of its mission is the remembrance and recognition of the Greek Genocide, including the atrocities committed against the Greeks of Pontos, Asia Minor, and Thrace in the early 20th century. Through education, advocacy, public awareness, and cultural initiatives, the organization contributes to keeping historical memory alive and promoting accountability.

The association also supports educational, cultural, religious, social, humanitarian, and community-focused programs that connect Pontian youth with their heritage and with one another.
