Taverna Athene

Taverna Athene is a family-run Greek restaurant in Berlin-Kreuzberg, welcoming guests at the same location since 1984. Now operated by the second generation, the restaurant combines longstanding family tradition with Greek cuisine, personal hospitality and a strong emphasis on the comfort and enjoyment of its guests.

The menu features many classics of Greek cooking, including tzatziki, gyros, bifteki, souvlaki and moussaka. Guests can also choose from mixed fish, meat and appetizer platters, offering a broad selection of familiar Greek flavours for sharing or individual dining.

Alongside its traditional dishes, Taverna Athene offers a daily changing menu with a modern touch. Homemade desserts complement the selection, bringing together established Greek favourites and additional dishes that provide variety for returning guests.

Hospitality, quality food and drinks, and friendly service form the foundation of the restaurant's philosophy. Whether visiting for a relaxed family dinner, meeting friends or sharing a glass of wine with business contacts, guests are invited to enjoy a welcoming Greek atmosphere in Kreuzberg.

Taverna Athene also provides separate function rooms with capacity for up to 50 people. The team can arrange weddings, birthdays, company celebrations, confirmations, baptisms, club events and other private occasions, with arrangements tailored individually in consultation with the hosts.

With more than four decades at the same Berlin location, second-generation family management, traditional Greek specialties, daily changing dishes and facilities for private celebrations, Taverna Athene offers an established Greek dining and hospitality experience in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
