Prova Zurich (prova zh) is a Greek-language theatre group and non-profit cultural association based in Zurich, Switzerland. Founded in February 2008 by Greeks living and working in Switzerland, the group provides a creative space for theatrical expression, artistic experimentation and cultural exchange. Its activities bring together people of different ages and backgrounds who share an interest in theatre, Greek language, art and the exploration of personal and cultural identity. The group began as a collective artistic initiative and formally established a non-profit association under the name prova zh in autumn 2010. Alongside these activities, Prova Zurich develops and stages theatre productions, offering opportunities for participants to engage with performance, storytelling and the creative process. Theatre serves as both an artistic discipline and a way of exchanging ideas, experiences and perspectives. An important part of Prova Zurich's identity is its connection to life between Greece and Switzerland. The group's artistic interests extend beyond theatrical performance to questions of language, homeland, belonging and individual identity. These themes reflect the experiences of Greeks living abroad and provide inspiration for collective exploration through the performing arts. Participation also offers a creative complement to the professional and everyday lives of its members, encouraging collaboration, personal expression and meaningful connections. With roots dating back to 2008, Prova Zurich represents an established Greek-language theatrical initiative in the Swiss cultural landscape. Its combination of stage productions, educational activities and artistic experimentation contributes to the presence of Greek theatre in Zurich. Through its non-profit structure and collaborative approach, the association provides a meeting point
