Cypriot Community Centre

Cypriot Community Centre is a cultural and community organisation based in Haringey, North London, established in 1979 by twelve founding organisations representing the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities. The Centre was created to provide a shared space where Cypriots could maintain their cultural identity, strengthen community connections and access activities and services. Its organisational network has since expanded to include fifteen affiliated organisations, reflecting its role in bringing together different sections of the Cypriot population in London.

The Centre promotes communication and cooperation across Cyprus's diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, including Greek, Turkish, Maronite, Armenian and Latin communities, as well as mixed families and people from other backgrounds. An important part of its mission is strengthening relationships between generations, supporting family connections and providing opportunities for people to participate in community life. Its facilities are also used by non-affiliated organisations, local authorities, health services and other public and voluntary agencies.

Through its community activities, services and shared facilities, Cypriot Community Centre provides a place for cultural participation, social interaction and cooperation. Its approach is inclusive, welcoming both members of the Cypriot community and others who may benefit from its facilities and activities. The Centre also places importance on accessibility, with wheelchair access throughout its main and ancillary buildings, including lifts and accessible toilets.

With a history dating back to 1979, Cypriot Community Centre serves as an established meeting point for Cyprus's diverse communities in London, supporting cultural identity, intergenerational connections and participation in wider British society.
