Prosechós – Rebetiko of the Diaspora in Niederanven

Prosechós bring their rebetiko repertoire to Niederanven for a concert presented by Mitos in collaboration with Folk-Clupp Lëtzebuerg. Formed in Frankfurt in the early 1980s, the group is described by the organisers as Germany’s first rebetiko band.

Led by founding member Jannis Karis on bouzouki and vocals, the line-up also features René Orfanidis on guitar and vocals, Ahmed Hattach on percussion and vocals, Kyriakos Sfatkidis on bass, and Thalia Karyda on vocals. Their programme draws on the musical traditions of Piraeus and Smyrna.

The concert takes place on Saturday, 24 October 2026 at 8:00 PM. Advance tickets are €25, door tickets €30, and tickets for school-age children aged 5–17 are €15. Preschool children are admitted free.
